James A. Jaramillo is a fifth generation bilingual New Mexican.  In 1996 he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Jaramillo’s college education had real estate concentration which inspired him to return home to pursue a commercial real estate brokerage career in Albuquerque, NM.

In 1991 Jaramillo established All Washed Up, Inc., a chain of four self-serve car washes strategically placed throughout the greater Albuquerque and Los Lunas areas.  Jaramillo managed all aspects of ownership, development, and business operations.  By 1995 the first location expanded with a separate onsite coin-op laundromat.  His experience included architectural design, construction management, and construction inspection.

Jaramillo established Jara Construction, LLC, a full-spectrum construction company in 1997.  A year later, Jaramillo founded Coba Investment Company, Inc., a real estate brokerage firm specializing in vacant residential and commercial land and site acquisitions.  Coba Investment assists local and worldwide clients with purchasing, developing, and brokering properties.  Jaramillo’s executive committee performs feasibility studies, market analysis, construction management, entitlement processing, development, construction financing, and equity syndication for state and global agencies.  Jaramillo maintains positive relationships with multiple financial institutions and title companies.  He is knowledgeable in purchasing and reselling pre-1907 water rights.

Jaramillo has constructed and sold numerous commercial lots and has developed numerous retail projects including Rio Grande Portfolio – a mixed use redevelopment office/retail property in the heart of Old Town, Los Lunas Riverfront Plaza – a mixed use office/retail development (110,000 SF), and Valencia Development - mixed use retail space (19,000 SF) and office warehouse (20,000 SF).  Current projects include Aerospace Technology Park – 50 acres of industrial vacant land adjacent to Albuquerque Double Eagle II Airport and future home of Eclipse Aviation Corporation, Aero-Technical International Airport – a commercial subdivision/office/warehouse product, Coors Commercial – a retail/self-storage development, and Isleta Development – 15 acres of retail/commercial development.  Jaramillo is responsible for directing all local and global business activities for Coba Investment, with multi-million dollar revenues. 

Jaramillo has been involved in a number of civic and charitable organizations including New Mexico’s Casa Esperanza, a non-profit organization that provides appropriate housing and emotional support for needy cancer patients and their families during treatment.
